It is really amazing how fast a year can end, and how fast every day goes by. Just yesterday I have purchased my first DSLR, only a few year ago, that I emerged into photography and started learning every bit that I could out of it. A few months ago I made this portfolio page hoping to showcase my projects and to be an inspiration to everyone landing on it. Only a few weeks ago, that I started a new journey. A journey that (for now) had me really under pressure to produce new images every day. And now I am here, writing a blog post, on 2017. A year has passed and the fact that I made it this far proves to me one thing, that I made progress (not as much as I wanted to, but that will never be the case - always be your own worst critic!)
Now, I am formally letting go of 2016 and looking forward for a new year, full of opportunities, progress and dedication.
As you can see, I had a year full of journeys. Whether a journey throughout Europe or a journey of photography which led me to do the 365days challenge; or the journey, that led me to do this portfolio page.
Putting this all together made me realize that I can do the craziest things if I put my mind and effort to it. (Maybe that is why I am a little bit off with the hrd365 challenge... Sorry about that!) The fact is that when you lack motivation you need a really good push *somehow* to get your ass up and keep moving. I am keen on finishing what I started, but that doesn't mean that I will not have setbacks, these are a vital part of the final feeling of completion. Because nothing worth fighting for comes easy! At least I learned this one thing from 2016, and that you for that. Now I can look forward to a much better year. I can keep creating, overcoming obstacles and never stop learning and growing. I know that I am on a path of finding my true calling and style, and I am positive, that if I keep on creating and enduring, then I will find what I am searching for! Let's all make that leap forward this year. Let's keep on creating! Cheers, have a great year. |
